a) Population
i) What's the population of the country?
The population of Japan is 127,341,000 citizens. The United States's population is 318,860,032 citizens. This information isn't accurately correct since the populations of both countries of changing every second. Apparently, the difference between United States and Japan is about 200,000,000 people, which is a lot. If you look at the size of the both countries, United States is 6 times bigger than Japan. So fitting that many people on that small piece of land is amazing.
ii) Where do the people live in this country? Rural areas? Urban areas? What are the populations in the two cities you used for Question 2 b)?
Japan is a very Urban and modernize areas. Especially, Tokyo is very modernize city, with bright lights and crazy theme restaurants. There are parts of Japan that can be consider as rural areas. They are the country side, where they farm rice and vegetables. The population of Tokyo is 13.35 million (remember its not accurately correct,) and the population for Osaka is 2.665 million.
b) Agriculture
i) what types of agriculture do they have and what type of diet do they have?
The types of agriculture Japan are rice paddies, terrace farming, and aquaculture. Rice paddies are little paddies where they are filled with lots of water. Rice grains are specially grown then different crops. Terrace farming is different types of rice paddies and other specially grown crops.
Aquaculture is pretty much "fish farming," where they raised and sell fish. The diet they have japan is very healthy. They eat a lot of seafood, which sounds very stereotypical. But Japan is pretty much surrounded by water, so they eat tons and tons of fresh seafood everyday. Once you try sushi at Japan, you would be able to have sushi anywhere else. Rice is also main source of food to Japan and other Asia countries(Types of Farming in Japan).
c)
i) Are industry and tourism related to geography and climate?
Yes, the industry and tourism related to geography and climate. Depends on the seasons and weathers they travel to those places. People comes to Hawaii for the warm tropical weather, so the area and climate does related to the industry and tourism.
d) Cultural Activies
i) Are there notable historical events that add to the climate/culuture story?
Actually, I forgot the name of this story, but I read about this Japanese man lying to his people that he was the one that called a storm to destroy the enemies' battle ships. So a storm was the one that defended Japan against their enemies. I couldn't find any climate/culture stories in Japan, the only one I could think of, is the story I read in my history class a year ago.
